Jeff Jenkins & The Heartstarters

Jeff Jenkins' Heartstarters blend their influences - from ballads with a nod to country, to pumping rock. 3RRR presenter Neil Rogers described their new album BOY MEETS GIRL as ‘A great new Australian album.’

Jenkins started his singing career with the Australian Boys Choir, quickly moving on to garage bands, hit musicals such as CATS, then to creating band The Dukes of Despair with his original songs, and onto his hit show DYLANESQUE - THE BOB DYLAN STORY which he wrote, produced and performed, touring around Australia before going back to his first love – writing original music.

The Heartstarters are: David Johnston on drums (he and Jeff have played in bands for the past 20 years together including The Dukes of Despair & The Late Starters), David Thew on bass, (The Crawdaddys), Simon Rhodes on keys (Reign, Dylanesque, the Dirty Mac), and Adrian Gardiner on lead guitar (Knoxville). Adrian and Jeff collaborate on the songwriting and their first album BOY MEETS GIRL was released, to critical acclaim, in December 2022.
